Community Interest

Community Interest Courses
Class information including day/time and location is subject to change. Please check the website for the most up-to-date information. At times, students and teachers agree to shorten the length of a class so that it can run with fewer students enrolled. Classes without minimum initial enrollment are subject to cancellation and refund.

Admission Requirements
Persons 18 years of age or older may enroll in adult education classes. Current high school students can enroll ONLY if the parent enrolls and attends the class with them, with the exception of the SAT Preparation course. Concurrent students who need credit for high school graduation must schedule an appointment with their school counselor and the adult education principal.

First Class
Registrants will be contacted only if the course has been cancelled. Please attend the first class unless you have been contacted by DACE staff.

Textbooks
Please attend the first class to receive textbook and materials information. Textbooks for some foreign language classes are available for purchase in the office.

Senior Discount
Persons 65 years of age or older receive a 10% discount on tuition for the Community Interest classes, with the exception of classes that use district computer labs or sewing machines. Seniors must register in person at the DACE office. There is no senior discount for state-approved class tuition or for materials fees.

Class Cancellation
Any class can be cancelled or shortened if there are not approximately 15 tuition-paying students registered prior to the first class. If a class is cancelled, students who have enrolled will be notified either prior to or at the time of the first class and tuition payments will be refunded in full.
